"The 'Sarah Angelle Effect' is this: great people follow in her wake; people who didn't know her before are soon striving to meet her standard; and an atmosphere and mutual generosity arises when she's at the centre."

My Story
Hi! I'm Sarah Alma Angelle. I started acting in my teens to combat social anxiety. The anxiety never left, but neither did my love for performing. While most of my experience is in theatre, I’m now diving into the wonderfully chaotic world of film and TV.
Creatively, I’m drawn to honesty and vulnerability. In 2016, I founded alma matters productions in honour of my late grandmother, Alma, who battled Alzheimer’s. Recently, I rebranded it as Lilix Media to reflect my eclectic taste and passion for celebrating fellow weirdos.
My education (do degrees even matter anymore?): I hold a DEC in Liberal Arts from Heritage College, a BFA in Theatre and English Literature from Concordia University, and an MA in Performance Studies from the University of Toronto.
Some highlights: I received funding from Bell Media's Slate Development Program and Creative BC to develop three television series with Orange Knapsack Productions. I was also one of nine recipients selected for the competitive GEMS TV Emerging Producers Program. I’ve received funding from the Canada Arts Council (CCA), Ontario Arts Council (OAC), and Toronto Arts Council (TAC). Awards include the Hnatyshyn Foundation's Emerging Artist Grant in Acting, The Arts Club's Bill Millerd Artist Fund for Producing, and a nomination for The Second City's Tim Sims Award for Best Emerging Comedian.
I struggle with labels and bios because they’re hard. I’m conflicted about calling myself a "producer" thanks to imposter syndrome. As a performer, I’m all over the place. I used to berate myself for not being able to "pick a lane," but I’ve come to accept the truth: I just love making art, regardless of genre. Someone recently said, "Why not just go by storyteller?" and I think I’ll give it a try.
Outside of acting, I’m a DnD-loving fantasy nerd with a growing fascination for the occult. If that’s your vibe, check out my TikTok!
